Green Gully

A damp day today on Ben Nevis but with good ice on many routes. We headed up and climbed Green Gully which sported good ice throughout. The temperature rose as the day went on, turning the buttresses black and softening up the ice. After an early start we finished our route nice and early and decended number 4 gully. Graham lost his Rab gloves on decent. Please could you let me know if you find them. Cheers.

Climbing looks OK, Guy. Think it'll survive the next couple of days (0 to 3 deg C at 900m)?

if it gets cold again soon, it should be ok. on our decent we passed several groups heading up to the CIC hut for the weekend, every group said they wanted to do green, if the all did i guess it will be pretty cut up.

Did it today with Wee Jamie. Ice was still pretty good, but some soft snow (notably leading up to the peg belay at the bottom of the climb), although things were a little crisper towards the top. But we were practically walking in slush past the top of Number Four, and came down the Red Burn.
